Chapter 2

It’s been a week and Jason hasn’t talked to me since that night in the hallway. I don’t know why… I wanted to talk to him. But was afraid he regretted that night. “Mia, will you go dust Mr. Turner’s room” Lucy asked me quickly. As I walked out the kitchen door, Cassidy and her friends were coming through the door. They gave me a dirty look and went upstairs.

When I walked into Mr. Turner’s room there were pictures of Sarah everywhere. But only one of them stood out to me. There was one, a wedding picture. Next to Sarah, there was one lady in the background. But who was it? But there was another that caught my eye. It was on the night stand. The step-mother (Julie) and Mr. Turner (Rodger) were standing together in a garden. But there was a girl standing next to Julie. Right than I realized Julie was the women in the background of Sarah’s wedding. But who is the one next to Julie? “It’s Cindy, her sister” I turned around quickly and found Mr. Turner behind me with his hands in his pockets. He has a suit coat on and expensive pants. His brown hair was jelled down. “Cindy is Julie’s older sister” he said again. Looking back at the picture I could see that they are related. “Sorry sir, I was just cleaning” I said going back to cleaning. “No, its fine, I also find myself staring at all these pictures” he responded. I turned around to clean some more. But I had a question that just hit me. Once I turned around, Mr. Turner was gone.

After I finished cleaning Mr. Turner’s room, I went downstairs back to the kitchen. “Who’s Alex?” Lucy asked me, holding up an envelope. I grabbed it quickly in excitement. “She was my friend” Lucy looked at me confused, and then I remembered. I never told her that I had a friend. Only because I was afraid she was going to leave and I wouldn’t know where she went. And if she left, I wouldn’t be able to write to her. So there was no point in telling them about her if she was going to leave. “Alex was my best friend. We would stay up late talking and having fun. She was like the sister I never had” I said holding the letter in my hand.

As I read the letter Jason walked into the kitchen. I paid no attention to him because I was far in to my letter from Alex. As Jason was getting his food, he kept glancing up at me. But I had to ignore him; I wanted to finish reading my letter. I finally put it back in the envelope, but when I started walking and looked up. Jason and I almost ran into each other. I looked up to him and gave him a small smile. But he didn’t smile back. There was something depressing in his eyes. Right than I knew I hurt him. And I wanted to make it better.

* * *

He looked into her eyes and he just knew she felt bad. He wanted to smile back but it just wouldn’t come. Something was wrong with him. He was feeling different.

When he walked out the door he saw Mia go into his Dad’s work office. What was she doing in there? Jason thought. He had to find out so he followed her. Once he got in there, the curtains were closed so it was dark. He hid in the dark so Mia wouldn’t see him. All she was doing was dusting. But after a minute or two she started going through his desk looking at papers and pictures. As if she was looking for evidence of something. “What are you doing?” he asked quickly. She jumped and dropped some papers. “Fine, the truth is…I know you’re lying about what happened to you and your mom. Lucy won’t tell me the real story” she said quickly. He just stood there; he didn’t know what to say to her. “I want to know who this is” she said holding up a wedding picture of his Dad and Julie with Julie’s sister with them. “That’s Aunt Cindy” he said quickly trying not to give too much information. “Can you tell me more about her?” she asked again. “I don’t know much. The last time I saw her was at the wedding and that was 3 years ago. Cassidy says she doesn’t know much either. She said Julie and Cindy hardly ever talked, probably about once every 3-4 years.” Mia looked shocked from what he told her. “What are you trying to do anyways?” I asked quickly. She took a deep breath and sat down in a chair. “I don’t know! My curiosity is getting the worst of me. Lucy told me that someone purposely killed Sarah. And from that face your making it seems like you didn’t know about this” she said standing up slowly. “I want to help” he said stepping forward. “If someone really did kill my mother on purpose than I want to find out. And if someone did it, than they must have been close and even closer now.” Jason told her. Mia stared back at him for a while. “Okay, but I haven’t got a lot on it” she said as he followed her out of the office and up the stairs. They walked into her room; she pulled a huge envelope out from under her bed. “Now, Cindy, since we don’t know much about her and no one ever sees her. She is out of the picture” Mia said pulling out a picture of Cindy and dropping it on a glass table. “Then there is your step-mother, she use to be a good friend of your Dad’s. And her daughter, Cassidy, who seems a little…unusual. The third person is, well your Dad” she said pulling more pictures out of everyone. “My Dad? My Dad loved Sarah with all his heart! I doubt he killed her” Jason said quickly. “I know, but you never know, so far now we still one of your killers.” Mia answered back. They sat in her room talking about it for only ten minutes because Mia had to get back to work.

It’s been about a year now and I think I’ve already gotten use to this place. “Sorry Lucy, I picked up my book and couldn’t put it down” I said walking into the kitchen and grabbing the apron in Lucy’s hand. Lucy just laughed and said; “They need help with cooking” I was so excited! I love to cook especially in a kitchen like this! Chef Brandon called me over to the stove, where he was. I pulled my hair back and into a hat. “Okay Mia, do you know how to make Cordon Bleu?” he asked. “I’ve heard of it but never made it” I said. Brandon grabbed some uncooked chicken and showed me how to cut it. Hours went by as we took our time making dinner. We kept laughing and playing around with the food. Right then, I felt like I was part of a family. Everyone was so kind to me and made me laugh. They treated me like I was part of their family. We all stopped smiling and laughing when Julie came walking in with tears down her face. She grabbed a cup of milk and some cookies, then left. “What’s wrong with her?” I asked Brandon, “Her Dad died a month ago and she still can’t get over it” he replied as he poured some soup in a bowl. “Here, it’s about time you have something to eat.” I grabbed the bowl and sat down by me. We all had different kinds of foods. My soup was amazing! “It’s potato cheese soup with a hint of onions in it” Brandon explained. It was amazing, so much better than the soup at the shelter. Brandon was having a twice baked potato. The others had a medium rare steak (just a small one), Chicken Alfrado, orange chicken and Teriyaki Chicken.

“Okay Mia, I need your help with the laundry” Lucy said walking into the kitchen and tasting all the different foods. I stood up and followed her to the laundry room. “Did you hear that the family is throwing a ball sort of thing” Lucy asked. I shook my head and hoped that Jason wouldn’t make me go. “Oh, well every two years Mr. Turner throws a little dancing party/ball kind of thing. People all over come to this ball. And that means they will need your help in the kitchen. And help our here cleaning. It is on Saturday, so in 6 days” Lucy continued. This must be a very fancy party if so many people from all around would come to it.

Four days went by and everyone was running around trying to get ready for the big night. “Mia we need help in the ball room!” Lucy called. I was running all ever. In the kitchen, to the ballroom, doing the laundry, getting bossed around by Cassidy, couldn’t I get a break? Apparently I couldn’t. I’ve been here for about a year now and I can tell this was a huge thing to the Turner family. “I need you to get a mop. We need to clean this floor so it looks nice in 2 days.” Lucy said pointing to the ballroom floor. The room was huge! It would take me all day. But I had to do it anyways.

After about an hour of so I mopping, the ballroom doors opened and Jason walked in. “Long time no see” he said. It was true though, with this dance coming up I had barely anytime to see him or find out anything on Sarah. “Yeah, sorry, I’ve been so busy with this dance thing coming up.” I replied. “Don’t worry about it. Are you going to be at it?” he asked quickly. I paused for a moment then said, “I have to…they need my help in the kitchen that night” Jason looked disappointed. “You know it’s a Masquerade ball” he said. “Now, that I didn’t know. So if I went no one would really know it was me” I said. Jason laughed and stepped closer. “Except me…I’d know those eyes anywhere” I didn’t know what to say to that. I didn’t want to get involved with him that much. So I just told him I had to get back to work.

Finally, I finished, after two and a half hours. It took so long. I was sick of cleaning now. I wanted to cook in the kitchen more. And I actually got to. Lucy put me in there to help cook and taste the food with Jason and Rodger. Chef Brandon started explaining what food he has planned to make for the party. He had samples of each on for us to try. The food was amazing and I loved it a ton. But I knew this was the only time I would get to try them. I wouldn’t be able to go to the ball. Only if I got a dress and a mask; but I had no money. Everyone could tell Mia wanted to go to the ball. They could see it in her eyes and how cheerful she was this whole week.

The day finally came. And everyone was rushing around cleaning and cooking. People were coming in putting tables and chairs in the ballroom. Cassidy was yelling for someone to get her laundry. Lucy told me to go get everyone’s laundry. I walked upstairs and got Mr. Turner’s first. As I walked past Jason’s room, his door swung open and he pulled me in quickly that I dropped all the clothes on his floor. “What are you doing?” I asked quickly about to pick up all the clothes but he pulled me away from them and towards his bed. He told me to stay there and clothes my eyes. A few minutes later he told me to open them. In his hands he held a box which had the most beautiful dress I had ever seen. There were ruffles below the waist, leaves and flowers were sewed in. there was a lighter color of fabric under the ruffles. The sleeves were just a little ruffled and barely went below the shoulders. It was a big puffy dress but beautiful. White gloves were lying under the dress when I picked it up and held it next to me. the mask was white with gold lines spinning all around it. Leave like fabric was hooked to the top and sticking up above the mask about an inch. White and gold strings were curled and hanging off the mask about 6 inches. “Oh my! Jason this is so beautiful!” I said. I couldn’t stop smiling, it was so pretty. “It’s for you to wear to the party” he said smiling back. “I can’t take this, Jason” I said putting the dress back in the box. “Yes you can. And you will. I’ll put it in your room for you to change into tonight.” He said smiling and taking the box from me. He helped pick up the clothes I dropped and take them downstairs.

Continued story

“Lucy can I ask you something?” I asked quickly as the last worker left the kitchen. “You want to know about Jason” Lucy said putting her fork down. “I could tell it was coming when I say the way he looked at you when you two met” I felt so stupid at that moment. But never mind that. I had to know about Jason. “I can’t help but wonder” I said smiling. Lucy hesitated for a moment as if she didn’t where to start.

“Well, where should I start? Ever since Sarah died and his Dad remarried he hasn’t exactly been the same. The last girl he dated was a disaster, they met at school and became friends but she wanted to be more than friends. Lara pushed him into asking her out, only because she was rich. He had a bad feeling once he asked her out. But he didn’t want to be rude to her so he stayed in the relationship. She would call him everyday just to say hi and hear his voice. She was obsessed with him! She would not let him go, everywhere they went together she would freak out when he would let go of her arm. There was something wrong with her. Once he broke up with her, Cassidy and his step-mother were angry. Jason doesn’t like those kind of girls. He says he likes girls who will like him for who he is and not for his money. The girls who aren’t very rich, kind, and actually know what it’s like to not be rich. The ones who actually care more about others then themselves. Last month his Dad and him went to help the homeless, Jason’s step-mother was not happy. She stayed home because she thought it was wrong. Jason doesn’t really open up to anyone anymore. After the accident he kept to himself. I don’t know much more about him. But you might get lucky” Lucy finished. He seemed so different than I thought. “What accident?” I asked quickly. “The accident of him and his mother, it’s how she died. They were” Jason’s Dad came into the kitchen. I knew Lucy didn’t want to say what happened in front of him. After he left I could tell Lucy didn’t want to talk about it anymore so I backed off. But I really wanted to know more about Sarah and the accident. And Jason, he was a mystery to me still.

I had to go upstairs and clean the windows in every room, starting with the living room. A door opened from down the hall and a few minutes later Cassidy came and after her Jason did. He sat in one of the chairs behind me as Cassidy went downstairs. I turned around right as he looked up at me from his laptop. His light brown hair, that has not been combed yet. A sly smile appeared on his face as his dark brown eyes met mine. I couldn’t help but smile back. Jason was about 6’1. He has rosy cheeks, he is muscular, tan, and had an amazing smile than can get you to do anything for him. “Lucy told you about her, huh?” he asked. I paused for a moment, “About who?” I asked. “You know. About the girl” he replied as he shut his computer. “Oh…well she didn’t tell me a lot. So I don’t exactly know what’s going on” I replied. Jason’s head dropped but he kept smiling. “She pretended to be someone she wasn’t. She acted like she didn’t care if she had a lot of money. I soon found out she only wanted my money and fame.” I didn’t know what to say. I felt bad for him. “I’m sorry” I finally said. “Don’t worry about it. At least I found out before it got any further” he answered. Looking straight into his eyes, my hands started to shake, butterflies swarmed into my stomach. Jason walked over and noticed I was shaking. “Are you okay?” he asked. “Yeah, I think so, I just need to stop shaking” I said quickly. He put his hand on top of mine. “Your hands are freezing” he said pulling my hands away from the window. But he wouldn’t let go, I looked up right as he did too. I couldn’t stop shaking. But I wanted to know what happened to Sarah. “You’re shaking like crazy” he said sounding all worried. “Jason, I want to know what happened to your mom” I said. He stepped back slowly, letting go of my hand. That was a bad idea to ask that to him, and I knew it. “It was after” Jason stopped when Cassidy came up the stairs. When she left Jason went downstairs. I felt so bad for asking that. And it made me want to know even more. He came back and I could tell he was going to tell me. so I sat down at the table next to him and he started to tell me the whole story.

It was horrible! Now I know why it was hard for Jason to talk about it. Or for anyone to, it was a terrible thing that happened to Sarah. But something was wrong. I felt like the story was missing something, like he was making it up to cover up the real story. My mind was too curious so I had to find out, and soon. After cleaning the windows in the living room, Lucy came up with another rag for me. “You’ll need this” she said handing it to me. “Thanks, Jason told me about the accident” Lucy paused in place. “But I don’t know if it was the truth or not. It seems like it was just another story to cover up the real one.” I had a feeling Lucy wasn’t going to tell me either but I had to ask. “I don’t know if I should tell. It’s only your second day and you’ll find out later on” she finally said. I did a big sigh and went back to cleaning. “I can tell you this. It was no accident, of what happened” now that made me scared when Lucy told me that. What really happened? If it was no accident, than who wanted Sarah gone so badly. And they are still out there. “What exactly do you mean?” I asked when I turned around. “Someone wanted Sarah gone, and quickly” Lucy said and left the room. Now I really wanted to know the truth. My curiosity was getting the best of me. I knew it wasn’t my place to be, but something was telling me that I should find out the truth about Sarah Turner’s death.

The day went by fast. It was nothing new, all we did was clean and eat. Except Jason came down into the dining room again and did his homework. (Cassidy and Jason were home schooled). Lucy asked me to go clean the table again. It wasn’t a big table, but there were pieces that you could hook to it to make it bigger. “Are you good at math?” Jason finally asked. “Sure, what is it that you need help with?” I said grabbing his book. As I reached for it, I accidentally grabbed his hand. Quickly I pulled it away after seeing him smile. “Precalculus, I can help” I said. For about an hour I helped Jason with his homework until Lucy called me back to work.

After we finished cleaning up I went upstairs to my room. Once I got into the living room Jason was leaning against the wall with a book. He was standing in the opening of the hallway that led to my room. I kept walking towards him but when I moved to the other side, he moved in front of me. “Reading a book?” What’s it called?” I asked. Jason turned the book around, “Pride and Prejudice” he said. “What’s it about?” Jason paused and I knew he really wasn’t reading it. Jason looked up, sighed and smiled. “Yeah, that’s what I thought. You never read it, and it’s my book” I said grabbing the book, opening the cover and pointing to my name in it. I just laughed and walked to my room. “I know you asked Lucy about me and my mother” Jason said quickly but not turning around. “I don’t mind. But if you are learning about me…I want to learn about you” I didn’t know what to say. There was nothing exciting about my life. But I followed him anyways into the living room. Once I sat down, I took a deep breath and started. “When I was two months old, I guess my parents left me at this shelter. Jessica, the shelter owner, her mother took care of me. All the kids there knew their parents were alive. Except for me, I had no idea who they were, I didn’t know what they looked like, I didn’t know if they were alive. And I still don’t know. During the day, when I turned eight, I would go to people’s houses and other places to clean. Than people asked about hiring me to be there maid, finally your step-mother called and gave Jessica a huge offer for me. When I first heard about this it made me angry. I was being treated like some animal or something! Jessica couldn’t refuse the offer so she sold me to this house. Like I was a slave! From what I’ve learned slavery ended a long time ago. So…now I’m here” I could tell that Jason was astonished, by the look on his face. He never said anything for a long time. I didn’t know if I should just leave or stay. Until he said, “Wow! I…I’m sorry. That’s just terrible.” “Well, it’s just how my life went… when I was little I use to imagine what my parents would look like. I always dreamed about what things we would do together” I said smiling to myself.

For about an hour and a half we sat on the couch talking to each other. At 1:30 A.M we both got up and walked to the hallway to my room. “Good night” Jason said looking at me and smiling. He slowly leaned in, my heart beat faster and faster. He put his arm against the wall behind me. He started to lean in closer. “Good night” I said quickly and went under his arm. I left him standing there alone. And I couldn’t look back at him or it would have made me feel more terrible.

* * *

She left me here, standing alone! Couldn’t she see that I was starting to like her? I never felt this way before. But why did she leave me hanging. Was something wrong? Or was it something I did? Jason wondered these things as he stared at Mia’s door to her room. He walked down the hall and found Lucy in the other living room down from my room. “What are you doing awake?” he asked. “I couldn’t sleep” she said as he sat across from her. “Well, I won’t be able to after happened” Lucy looked at him with a confused looked. So he had to tell her what just happened with Mia. It wasn’t a very awkward conversation, because he usually talked to Lucy about my problems. He talked to his Dad sometimes, but he was always too busy. “Mia isn’t exactly the girls you find around here” Lucy explained. “She has never liked a guy so deeply. She’s liked guys, but never really deep into it or dated them. She’s a sensitive girl.” He kind of figured she was sort of like that. Since she said she didn’t really have many friends except for one when she was young. “Jason, just take things a little slower, or just don’t show your feelings and she will catch on. Give her sometime” Lucy added. As he walked back to his room, he figured he would just not show his feeling till another week or two went by. And, maybe, hopefully she will catch on to it.

* * *

I was breathing deeply as I leaned against my door. Jason was a sweet guy but I’m just not ready. I know I probably hurt his feelings when I left him there, but he must understand how I feel. I never felt this way before.

The Mischief Maid and The Rich Boy

This is just a couple pages of my book i hope you like it. Please comment, and start putting your own on. Thanks :D

I never knew my parents.
When I was 7 years old, I became a maid for people who needed me. All my other years I was in orphan homes. But when I was 16, I was sold to the Turner family. They had a daughter, Cassidy, who was 19 years old. And a son, Jason, who was 17 years old. When I first got there, I thought that it would just be like the other times; but I was wrong. Something was going to change my life. And my relationship with the family; especially with one of them.

It was a couple weeks after my 16th birthday. I just found out I was going to be staying at the Turner’s home as there maid. I had 1 week to pack all my stuff and leave. I was actually glad to leave that place. I didn’t know anyone, and no one knew me.

The day finally came to leave for the Turner’s home. Jessica, one of the ladies that helped at the orphan center and was the only one who I trusted, came with me. She was like a big sister to me. “Mia, they forgot to mention this to you but the Turner family is one of the wealthiest people in the country, they are in the top 10” Jessica said. “What!?” I exclaimed, I never even heard of these people! And I never ever had to be a maid to one of the wealthiest people in the country! “Yes it’s true. You have to be on your best behavior. These people are rich and can push you right back to us just like that” she said. I sat there in silence thinking to myself. I hated rich families. They always thought they were too good for anyone else. “Ok, I will. I’ll miss you a lot, Jessica” I said hugging her.

We finally got to there house. I stepped out of the car and was astonished by what I saw. There house was bigger than any house I have seen. It looked exactly like the Aston Hall, but it wasn’t. We stepped in the house, there was a cream colored tile all around. To my left there was a winding staircase with metal railing. To my right was an indent in the wall with a wooden stand with a antic lamp and flowers on top of it. The door was glass but outlined black. The walls were just a little darker than the floor. There was a huge open window going up to the next floor next to the door. Plants surrounded the stairs. We walked in a little more. There were 2 doorways and to its left was a hallway leading somewhere else. Mrs. Turner came walking out of the door on the right.

“Oh you must be our new maid” she said walking up to us. “Get your things, Lucy will show you your room than meet me in the kitchen.” I said goodbye to Jessica and left with Lucy to my new room. We walked up the tile staircase it went around and around. At the top of the stairs the big window stopped. I turned around and there was a long hallway. We turned left from the stairs, one of the doors to our right. “Who is this?” the girl asked in a disgusted way. “This is your new maid” Lucy answered. After the girl walked off Lucy said, “That’s Ms. Turner’s daughter Cassidy, she is 18”. We walked on and another door opened. “Hey Lucy…oh, who is this” a guy asked. “Jason, this is Mia, she is a new maid. Mia this is Jason. You guys are about the same age” Lucy said. Jason gave me a sweet cheesy smile. And walked away slowly backwards still watching us. We got to the end of the hallway. There was a huge living room, it had a dark oak table with 4 chairs around it. Wooden floor around it, to the left of the table there was a small walkway and a door. Behind the table was white carpet, black leather couches with red and light brown pillows. In front of them about 6 feet was a fireplace with a mantle. A window was behind the couch to your right with thin white curtains and thicker ones of red pulled back. Lights hanging from the ceiling with a fan above them, the wall to your right was painted a dark red, and the other 3 walls were a light brown color.

“Here is your room” Lucy said turning into the small walkway and opening the door. It was not a huge room, but big enough. The walls were a very light brown color. White curtains across the big window that was the size of the wall. My bed had a white bed sheets, it was against the left wall. There was a fireplace on the right with a mirror above the mantle. A glass table was in the corner, there was a lamp on a night stand next to my bed. “Wow, is your room like this too?” I asked in amazement. Lucy just laughed and nodded, “Wow, these people are rich!” I put my things down and unpacked. I finally finished and went downstairs with Lucy. When we got downstairs, I followed Lucy into the door on the left, which was the kitchen. There was stoves everywhere, there had to be at least 5 of them. Cooks were running around franticly in there white outfits and hats. 3 butlers were getting dishes ready and nice. “Everybody listen up!” Lucy yelled to the kitchen, “This is Mia, she is the new maid in the house and she would really like it if we made her feel loved.” Everyone smiled and waved, I waved back and they all went back to work. “okay, you will be helping with the food, clothes, all the cleaning, and pretty much anything” Lucy said again pulling me through the kitchen to a door to the left. It was a huge laundry room with 3 dryers and 3 washers. “okay, Cassidy likes her clothes done by exactly 3:00 and Jason doesn’t really matter. Than Mr. and Mrs. Turner want there’s done by 5:00. So we need to start moving on this” She said giving me 2 baskets to go get Jason and Cassidy’s clothes. I went back to the kitchen and out the door. Than up stairs to the kids rooms, I went into Cassidy’s room first. There was a basket in the corner over flowing with clothes. I put all of them in one of the baskets and went to Jason’s room. His basket wasn’t as full so it didn’t weigh as much. “Do you need help” Jason asked from behind me. “oh, no its fine. Why do you want to help anyways?” I asked. “Well, I never really liked the idea of servants in the house. Dad hasn’t either but ever since he married Sarah, we’ve been getting more and more. She acts like we can’t have enough people working here and that she can’t do anything for herself” he replied as he handed me some clothes that I dropped. “I don’t mean to intrude but what happened to your real mother?” I asked quickly. “She died of cancer 3 years ago. A year ago Dad married Sarah, and we had a daughter in the family.” Jason said sitting on a chair that was next to his desk that was next to the door. “Oh, I’m sorry I had no idea” I said feeling bad for asking. “It’s fine. You’re new so its not your fault, you would have found out soon or later” he said smiling. I couldn’t help but laugh, and walk out of the room.

I went back downstairs and into the laundry room. Most of the day I helped Lucy with washing clothes. When dinner was ready I had to help clean the dishes with the cooks. It was fun talking to them, there stories and fun things they had done here. I felt more like home already than I ever had before. “Wow, you guys must have been here long if you have that many stories” I said as I scrubbed plates. “We’ve been here for 15 years” one of them said. It amazed me how long they had been here, I just barely got here and I already didn’t like Sarah Turner. She made me feel sick, her long blonde hair, made me think that she just married John just for his money not for love. Chief Rick knew exactly what I was thinking after the smile on my face faded away. “We all think that Mia, so your not alone on this” he said quietly. “Than why doesn’t anyone say something to Mr. Turner?” I asked. “Because, he loves her, not as much as he did with Lara, but he fell in love with the fake Sarah, and we could get fired if we say things like that” Rick said quickly. I assumed Lara was John’s wife that died. Something told me that I should keep all my other questions to myself and not asking them out loud.

When the Turner’s were done eating I helped clean up the dishes and wipe the table down. “Something tells me that you have a lot of questions” someone said from behind me once I was alone in the dining room. When I turned around, Jason was in the doorway with his hands in his pockets. “Now why do you keep appearing when I’m alone” I asked, I knew he thought I was cute, but I had to stay away. He was way out of my league and I knew his parents wouldn’t approve. “Well, I just have a feeling that you’re just a special girl. Now tell me what your questions are” he said sitting down on one of the fine, expensive chairs. “Uh, I don’t think I should ask” I said grabbing a pile of plates from the table. Jason reached over and grabbed them from me and set them back on the table. “Come on, I can handle it” he replied. I sat on the edge of the table, “I’m just a little confused with this whole Sarah thing” I said trying to figure it all out in my head. Jason sighed and said, “Well, it all started when Dad went back to school after Mom died. 2 weeks into the semester he met Sarah, she knew exactly how rich he was the moment she met him. All Sarah wanted was to take his money. She pretended to be someone she wasn’t. I could tell the moment he brought her home for me to meet. I had to tell my Dad, but the way he looked at her I couldn’t break his heart. Than the day came that he asked her to marry him. I finally met Cassidy, and I defiantly knew the marriage was just to get Dad’s money. Everyday Sarah and Cassidy came home with new clothes, new shoes, just new everything. I put on an act everyday so Dad doesn’t know how I really feel. He needs to find out his own way about who Sarah really is. She is trying to get me to marry in the money business just so she can take my money to and run off just like she is going to do with my Dad.”

“Wow, I’m sorry for that. My first day and I get a whole bunch of drama” I said feeling terrible for asking. He laughed and stood up, “Sorry, don’t mean to give you a hard time on your first day” he said stepping closer to me slowly and staring deeply in my eyes. “Pulling a move on the maid, very smooth” I said turning around and grabbing the plates. Jason started smiling and did a little silent laugh, “Well, your not like the other girls” he said. “No, I’m not. I’m just a poor girl that is a maid to one of the wealthiest families in this country.” I said walking back to the kitchen door. “Good night” he said still smiling. I turned around and just stared at him and went through the door. I finished cleaning up the kitchen with the others and than went to my room.

I sat in bed wondering about things. How could Jason like me, I was just a house maid. Besides shouldn’t he be going after some rich girl, who is so much better than I am. My mind wandered to many things about Jason, so I decided to as Lucy about him. She’s been here longer than anyone else and she would know everything about him. She doesn’t say much but I could tell she knows enough to write a book on this family. She will tell me what I needed to know.

Lucy woke me up around five am. I was use to getting up early but I still was very tired from staying up all night thinking about things. I changed my clothes and went downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. No one was awake except for the workers. I sat down at the table that sat in the kitchen for the workers to eat at. Lucy was across the table from me.

Hello! Welcome to my blog!

Hi
I made this blog to help teen writers get there books out there. I think they have an amazing talent and I want to help them. I personally think that they don't get noticed enough, and appreciated for what they do.
Please post your stories so people can read them. It has to be clean, and appropriate. All I want to do is help whoever wants it. I also write books and hardly anyone has read them, but the people who have said I have talent, I believe you do to. Please, please post your books so you could get noticed for you talent and creative mind. Maybe someday you will get to publish it.
Thank you so much and please post!
